Hi and welcome to another week at Emerald Fairies. This week's challenge is a sketch one, all you need to do is follow the below sketch
and here is my take on the sketch
now I'm not 100% satisfied wit this card but it's only because of the material I was trying to work with....have you ever tried to work with actual bee hive?? not easy LOL
back story on the bee hive...My hubby was mowing about a month ago and almost hit his head on the hive. Well after some research it apparently was a nest of Bald-Faced Hornets!! Yup those very nasty and very aggressive hornets. Since we have a little one that hive had to go! Hubby got all dressed up in his skiing clothes and went out with two cans of hornet foam! The next day after he made sure everything was dead, he brought me in a huge chunk thinking it would look cool on a card LOL so here is my card :)
Oh and this is the nest. It was awesome in person such intricate designs throughout it

Wow! How amazing - and creative! - to use part of an actual nest on your card! (I love us crafters - we'll find a way to use *anything* in our crafting! :D) Glad the nest is gone though, they sound like nasty little blighters!

Tanya this is a gorgeous card! Your image is fabulous with great colouring :)I've never seen a bee hive so to actually use one on your card to me is very cool. Good thinking on your hubby's part to save some of it for you. We crafters can recycle ANYTHING!
