Inky Impressions Monthly blog hop

Before I get on to today's post, I want to send out my deepest condolences to the friends and family of the 20 children and 6 adults that lost their lives very tragically yesterday in Connecticut.  I'm sure I'm like many of you, in shock and disbelief that someone could go into an elementary school and do this to such young children.  My daughter is in kindergarten and I couldn't even imagine how those parents must feel, knowing they can never pick their kids up from school anymore or give them a big hug.  My heart is just breaking thinking about it.

My thoughts and prayers are will all of your during this terrible time.

On to today's post.  We are so excited that you are joining us for the Inky Impressions Monthly Blog Hop! You are not going to want to miss any of the fabulous creations from the Inkettes or your chance at an Inky prize (2 digis of your choice) but you must comment on all the stops by December 21st as the winner will be announced on the 22nd.

Our projects for you today all have the theme of Celebrations.  I thought with the tragic events that happened yesterday that my card would center around the Celebration of Youth.  For me when I was younger, you could always catch me rollerskating around so I wanted to pull out one of my first Inky stamps that I ever got, Lili Rollarskating.

and here is a close up

Just in case you get off track, here is the complete list of blogs in the blog hop.

Special ANYTHING GOES challenge on my blog THIS Sunday

make sure you come back here on Sunday as I'll have a special ANYTHING GOES challenge where you can win a very awesome prize.  Spread the word to your friends!!!

Sassy Studio Design - Dare to be Sassy Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone!  I am having so much fun being the guest designer for Sassy Designs that I'm not looking forward to the end of the month :( This week's Dare to Be Sassy Thursday Challenge is a sketch challenge (go to the blog to see what that is).
My card today uses "Will Turner"    Now I'm sure I'm like a lot of you and absolutely LOVE Pirates of the Caribbean and I'm in love with Will Turner (and well pretty much any character that Orlando Bloom plays).  When I saw the sketch this week, I knew I had to pull him out and color him in :)

Hope you will join the fun and give it a go. You don't need to use a SSD image to play along, but we love it when you do. Enter by next Wednesday night for your chance to win 2 SSD images of your choice.

There is some extra incentive for using a SSD image, you get to enter twice. So if you use one, make sure you link to your blog post and the second link can just be to your blog (it won't let you link to the same post twice). After your name, please put SSD, so we know why you are linking twice!

Stamp and Create DT Call

Today I put my notice into Lacey that at the end of the month I will be stepping down from the Stamp and Create team.  With the new year comes new adventures to which I am excited to start sharing with you.

So to help Lacey out, I am posting the dt call so make sure you apply as you will NOT be disappointed working with the girls!

DT Call!!
Here are the details...
~ Create a card or project to post on the store's blog each Monday using products available at Stamp and Create. Some times the theme or products used will be determined based on sales, and some times you are welcome to create anything of your choice.
~ Post your project, the weekly candy, Sales, and new product information on your blogs and Facebook pages each week.
~ Comment on the Challenge entries based on a rotation.
~ Commit to a minimum of 6 months (January - June, with the option to stay longer if you choose).
~ You CAN NOT work for another competitive online store. You CAN work for other stamp companies and challenge blogs, but not another "one-stop-shop" that carries paper, ribbons, embellishments, etc.
~ You can not be active with on-line or organized image swaps (since it violates most stamp companies copyright agreements).
In exchange for your work on team:
~ You will receive at least $25 worth of supplies each month including assortments of paper, ribbon, embellishments, and stamps.
~ Discounts on personal purchases.
To apply for the DT Call:
Email me at with:
~ A link to your blog
~ A little information about you and why you want to be on the team
The call runs through New Year's Eve. I will contact you within the first week of January if you have been chosen.
Happy stamping!! (And good luck)
