Critter Sketch Challenge - A little Note

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you're all having a great start to your week so far and that you are staying warm. We had a VERY cold night last night, somewhere around -20°F.

This week's challenge at Critter Sketch is a double challenge.  We'd love to see you do some distressing and to have a circle somewhere on your card.

My card today uses an image from our sponsor The Stamping Boutique.  The edges around the DP has some light blue ink on it (which is very hard to see in the photo) and I guess the circle is my courdary brad on the flower.  The flower is so awesome in person.  It's one of those acetate flowers from Heidi Swapp but I add glue and some glitter from Meyer Imports.  This glitter is FANTASTIC!  I was given some free samples as part of a blog candy promotion and I seriously will have to get some more it.

***If you are here for the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long blog hop, please scroll down to the next post***

Today is Monday which means a new sketch challenge over at the Critter Sketch challenge blog.  For the whole month of October, Critter Sketch is being sponsored by Meijen Designs which can be found at the Whimsy Stamp Store.

Today's sketch is:

Here is my take on the sketch.  I used the new soccer girl from Tiddly Inks.  When I saw that image I had to have it cause this was the first year that Abby played soccer and this little girl reminded me of her :)

and this is my little soccer star :)

Supplies:  Copics, Bobunny paper, soccer buttons, embroidery floss, cardstock (stash)

Happy Halloween

I made this card using one of the new halloween stamps from CC Designs.  He has been colored in for a little while now waiting for the perfect card :)  The papers are from one of those paper packs found at Joann's.

The spider webs in the corner are done with a martha stewart punch and then I added a little bling.   The layout of the card came from this week's Critter sketch challenge.

Critter Challenge #16

I can not believe that May is already over and with that this is my final post with the Critter Sketch Challenge Design Team.  I want to thank Melanie for making this a fun group to be in and to the other DT for the opportunity to gain such great inspiration.  I also want to welcome the new DT members and look forward to seeing your great creations over the new few months.

Now on to this week's challenge.  Melanie is thinking spring/summer (just like the rest of us :)) and wanted us to create something with flowers (embelishments, die cuts, paper, etc.) and to incorporate purple into our creations.  So here is my card for the week:

Supplies:
Images-Isabella (Bugaboo Stamps), scooter (imaginisce)
paper-stash
cardstock-Stampin Up

Critter Sketch Challenge #12

Time for another challenge at Critter Sketch.

For the month of May we are being sponsored by Dustin Pike, Doodle Dragon Studios. Dustin has some of the most amazing images and I'm really excited for you to be introduced to them. At the end of the month a lucky winner will be winning their choice of 3 digital images from Dustin's store. So play, along, have fun, and "doodle" way!!!!

This week the DT was to use this sketch (which I totally forgot about ):

so along with this sketch we were to use one of Dustin Pike's images and the color green.  I really liked how my Ruby card turned out a couple weeks ago so I went with the exact same theme with it and came up with this:

On another sad note, this is the last month of our term with Critter Sketch.  A few of us may not be returning but I'm sure I speak for everyone that the term was a blast.  There were a few "bumps" along the way but it always worked it self out.  So keep your eyes open for a DT call soon and cross your fingers for me :)

So hop on over to the challenge blog and let's see what you come up with :)

Critter Sketch Challenge #10

Since this is the tenth challenge, Melanie thought it would be fun for us to create a project using just ten items.  Now that seems pretty easy but when you want to add one more dew drop or something you can't :)

So here is my card.  For some reason it's looks pretty bright but it really isn't that way in person.

1 Image (Isabella sitting from Bugaboo Stamps, sitting on a swing from CC designs--digitally edited)
1 cardstock (the darker blue is just the reverse of the patterned paper so I didn't count it LOL)
1 ribbon
2 flowers
I patterned paper
3 dew drops
1 sentiment ("Spotlight" stamp set from The Greeting Farm)

Now let's see what you can do, head over to the Challenge blog and submit your entry.

Critter Sketch Challenge #8

Wow it is so hard to believe that we are already up to Challenge #8, where did the time go?
So this week the challenge was to follow this sketch and to use gingham somewhere on the card, whether it was paper, ribbon or on the image itself.  It is totally up to you but it has to be present :)

this was the sketch:

and here is my card, it uses Pretty from Victoria Case:

U Rock Card

This card was made using the Cute Skulls mini set from Bugaboo Stamps. The layout of the card was made using this week's Critter Sketch Challenge.  I didn't want to add a bunch of color to the card so on the background, the only colors used were black and red and then the sentiment were stickers from Piggy Tales.

Critter Challenge

Wow, can you believe that it's already the second week of Critter Challenges? It is going by pretty fast already :) I hope you all come join us in the challenges as there are some fun surprises along the way.

This week, the DT has this sketch to go by:

and we had to use a minimum of two eyelets/brads on it. Along with the requirements of the sketch we had an awesome sponsor....Stamp and Create. Normally Melanie will only have 1 give a way a month (which is usually at the end of the month). However we thought it would be fun to SURPRISE you and give one away at the end of this week. Stamp and Create has teamed with us to sponsor our blog. Stamp and Create offers amazing products and their customer service is out of this world. They will be offering one lucky winner at $15 gift certificate to their awesome, amazing store.

My card this week uses A good Book, which can be found here.
