House of Gilli - Embossing Challenge

 Today was pretty quiet at home, we watched a couple of movies and I got to color.  So with that I was able to make a couple cards for fun.   This card was made for the House of Gilli challenge which is embossing.  This is the first time I have ever colored in a Gilli and I have to admit---I'm HOOKED!!  

I wanted a elegant card so I kept it very simple and only added red as an additional color.  I really loved how this turned out and what's great is this Gilli can be used for many different ocassions :)

My makeover project today isn't crafty in any way, it's personal :)  Yup I got my nails done--well I do every  three weeks LOL  Sorry the pictures aren't very clear but if you click on them, you should be able to see them better.  The first one had glitter, black & white stripes and flowers.  I LOVED THIS ONE!!  the second one was my terrible attempt at matching the Philadelpia Eagles :(  My husband said it was supposed to be "Kelly Green" and this was teal--gee, see if I try to surprise him again LOL

Sorry this post was supposed to be up earlier today but for some reason it went straight to draft.  Today over at DtsArts, it was designer choice of images to share with you.  I used adorable Keri Cherry, I just love her and she was so fun.  I add liquid glass to the cherry to make it shiny and some stickles to her wings for added sparkle ;)

Crafty Sentiments - New Release & Challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today Crafty Sentiments is releasing this adorable Manga image.  Her name is Sally and she is simply adorable!!! I mean how can you resist her?!? :)

Today also starts another challenge over at the Crafty Sentiments blog, the challenge for this week is SPOTS & STRIPES.  I knew exactly what paper I wanted to use and then incorporated some blue into the design of the card.  I really love the soft colors of this one :)
