Hello Birdie!!!

I can finally say that I am happy that last week is over! That is definitely the hardest time of the year for me and now life can get back to normal :)

For those that don't know, last week marked the two year anniversary of my mom's death and was also her birthday. She died unexpectedly two days after her 65th birthday.

With that I have great news to share with you but I can't until Thursday, so hold on tight...I know I'm still jumping! LOL

Anyway for this week, Lindsay wanted us to create something with a Nature/Outdoor theme and I knew right off that I wanted to use this little bird scene from the Pretty Primitive set found here. The papers are from my stash and thought it looked pretty cool with the back framing everything...what do ya think?

Hello Scarlette!!!

Meet Scarlette, she is the newest edition to Bugaboo Stamps and you can get her for free starting today!!!!! This card looks so much better in person but it definitely is cute and reminds me of spring. After yesterday's 15 inches of snow that I got, I am VERY ready for spring. I'm tired of the winter clothing and having to bundle Abby up just for a half hour drive!

Cheeky Glamour and Rockabilly

I finally joined my first swap over at SCS and for this one we had to use our Sizzix Machines. The only die I have is top note that is sold through Stampin' Up :) When I sat down I decided to pull out my two newest stamps from The Greeting Farm-Cheeky Glamour and Cheeky Rockabilly. I so love the rockabilly look and knew I had to have that stamp when it came out--I might have to start updating my wardrobe to add some of this style clothes LOL.

Anyway I used Silhouette paper from Close to My Heart and some embellishments from my stash. I hope the girls that receive them, enjoy them as I much as I did making them.

Tutorial Wednesday at Bugaboo!

Have you ever tied a bow to only have one of the tails in the back and one in the front? Well I stumbled upon this great little gadget surfing the internet last week and I had to try it out. It's called Bow Easy I got it the other day and immediately I was hooked!! Perfect bows EVERY time!!!! You can do single, bows, double bows, triple bows...whatever you want. I don't know how I have lived without this thing! :) With this bow easy you can make bows in the following sizes: 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8", 1 3/4", 2 3/8", and 2 3/4"


Step 1: hold the bow easy in your hand with the size you want to make closer to you. Hold the bow easy and one end of the ribbon securely between your thumb and pointer. (see photo)

Step 2: Wrap the ribbon around the template so that the tails will cross over each other on the top. (see photo)

Step 3: Pull the tail that is crossing over the top through the middle so you forming a loop. (see photo)

Step 4: Pull the tail back around and through the loop. (see photo)

Step 5: Tighten the bow by pulling on both tails (see photo)

Step 6: This is the back view of the bow after your are finished, still on the template

Step 7: Pull the bow off of the template and trim ends to your liking.

If you want to make a double bow, repeat step #2 again before moving on to step #3. If you want to make a triple bow, repeat step #2 once again before moving on to step 3.

I don't have particular card with this tutorial because EVERY single bow I make is done with this!

New Release Day at Bugaboo Stamps

Today is the new release day at Bugaboo Stamps and Jodie has two great sets available. One of them is the ever famous Stella and the new one is this cute little baby popping out of a present...isn't it cute??

Today's card was created using Good Times Paper and stickease from Close to My Heart and colored in with copics. I hope you enjoy it and come back tomorrow for a great tutorial!!

Critter Challenge

Wow, can you believe that it's already the second week of Critter Challenges? It is going by pretty fast already :) I hope you all come join us in the challenges as there are some fun surprises along the way.

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Here is my card for this week's post. As I'm typing this I remembered that Lindsay asked the design team to use buttons/bows for the theme this week and well I guess I didn't do that :) (I sort of got the bow thing going on LOL). Oh well, I used the easter basket from the Cute Easter set that is offered in the store.

Pink Elephant Challenge

This week Bugaboo is sponsoring the challenge over at The Pink Elephant Challenge blog. I totally forgot about this so I took one of the new Bugaboo Brats image (Isabella), which can be found here. I took some scraps that I had on my table and threw this card together pretty quickly so that I could get it on here.


This card was also used in the I love Digi Challenge this week which was to "think pink".
