January is Technique Month
That is on my blog anyway :) Each and every day I will be posting a new technique and from time to time, a step by step guide to showcase them for you. The step by step guide will most likely be on the more advanced/difficult ones but you'll have to see for yourself :)

Merry Christmas!!!
I wanted to take a few minutes to wish all of my cyber friends a very Merry Christmas. I hope you all have a very enjoyable holiday and that you are all surrounded by family and friends. You all have been great friends throughout the years and I really appreciate it. Sometimes you were the only one's that I could confide in and you all gave me "support" and love when I needed it most.
I am very excited for this Christmas as Abby is starting to understand the whole Christmas thing and is very excited to get presents from Santa.
I also want to say Merry Christmas to my Mom and My stepfather who are no longer with us. I have missed you both dearly throughout the years but I know you're up there watching over Abby and enjoying every single minute of it. I love you both and wish you were here.
Hopefully I'll have some cards to post for you in the next few days (in between all of the holiday buzz LOL). That is going to be one of my New Year's Resolutions...post more for you! So make sure that I hold that :)
So for now, I will say good night but I will be chatting with you all soon.

I am SO excited!!!!
I received an email today asking me if I would like to be on the design team for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. She offers some really cute digital stamps and they come in sets. I am so excited to get started but I don't have a project due until January :( So be on the lookout for projects every Monday.

12 Days of Sketches--Sketch #1
Between Friday 12/18 and 12/30, The Greeting Farm blog is having a sketch a day. Every day except for Sunday's and Christmas, there will be a new sketch. If you complete all 12 sketches and have them loaded by 1/3, you are eligible for the whole January Release...isn't that so cool!!! I would die if I won that!
Saturday's sketch was this:

and here is my take on it:

I really liked how this turned out that I think I'll give it to my boss' daughter for her 14th birthday.

Abby's craft night
Tonight I decided to take a break from everything and let Abby play at my scrapbook table. She gets very excited to see what she can play with. So tonight we made a couple of cards for my boss' daughters. My boss is the very first person we had ever left Abby with and she has been adopted into their family.
I can't wait for when she's older and we can sit down together and do more crafty things. Don't get me wrong, I love it now but it takes so long to do one project because I still have to do pretty much everything....oh well that time will come :)
Here is the card she made for the girls (she made one for each of them but they are identical), plus she "signed" the inside of the card. I think she did pretty good for a 2 year old :)

The stamp used was Christmas Stocking by Gillian F. Roberts through Stampavie and the papers were all from Close to My Heart. Abby used various colored pencils and gel pens and a couple metal snowflake charms/buttons from Joann's.

Club Anya Blog Hop
We've asked and they have listened....
Here are the catagories of the hop
Now on to my creations for tonight's hop. First, I needed something to hold a gift card for my hubby from our daughter so I thought I'd try using a nugget tin :)
The tin is layered inside with the gingham paper from Merry, Merry. I used Santa Ian and colored him with my copics, his "fur" around his hat and suit is made using liquid applique (love this stuff!). He was cut out and glue dotted to the tin. I used a 1'' grosgrain ribbon from Close to My Heart and the bow was made using my bow-easy. I also added some tiny adhesive back pearls to a couple of the corners. The tag was made using the Very Merry Tags Cartridge on my Cricut, Imaginsince Polar Expressions paper and blinged up.

For my second project I made a card once again using Santa Ian. All the materials used to make this card is from Close to My Heart and is just gorgeous in person. (sorry about the quality of the picture, it's was pretty dark here when I took it).

Hope you like it. Now it's time to go back to the Club Anya blog and see who's next.
