I finally finished the layout from last year's trip to the pumpkin patch. I had purposely picked out Abby's outfit to match a particular paper I had (as I'm sure many of us have done this LOL) but have since switched the papers.

Here is another card using the tink stamp from The Greeting Far. This was a request by a friend who wanted to give a "thinking of you" card to another friend. I hope they both like it :)

Crafting with Abby

Abby just loves to play at my table so the other day we made this cute little halloween decoration made out of foam. She is still too young to do it (2 years old) but she had a blast helping me put it all together. We have also started a Christmas house so I'll post pics of that when we're done.

If anyone has any other crafty ideas to do with a 2 year old PLEASE let me know!

Tip of the Day

To prime an acrylic stamp use an eraser to rub over the surface of the stamp or stamp with a light color ink multiple times. This will get the stamp ready for inking.

Mini Stationary/Card Holder Instructions

Need a last minute gift, here is a really quick and simple project you could do that makes the perfect gift!

All you do is take a 8 1/2'' x 11'' sheet of cardstock, lay it out in landscape (wider side is horizontal). Score vertically at 5 1/2" and horizontally at 2". To make it fold easier, you can make a notch in the middle (see picture). You can also seal the edges of the pockets with tacky tape but it isn't necessary.

Note: This holder can hold 3 cards, envelope and a pen nicely.

Decorate the cover and cards to your liking!!

Flower Lili card

I have stumbled upon some great stamps and I wanted to share them with you. The name of the store is Inky Impressions and they make the cutest stamps ever! They are red rubber stamps but the detail in them is phenominal and the quality of the image you get is unbelievable. I swore off of rubber stamps when I found CTMH but between these ones and The Greeting Farm, I'm heading back into that world of stamping again :)

Tip of the Day

I have fallen in love with using Flower soft. The depth it adds to an image is unbelievable so today's tips will focas on that. First thing before going into any detail is that I use the glue that is made for this as it is a thicker glue and helps adhere the flowersoft.

1. Use a coffee filter as a mat, just make sure you change filters when you change colors in order not to mix.

2. When you open the pot, do it over the coffee filter and loosen up the flakes so that it's easier to work with.

3. Don't squeeze the flakes together or it will clump. I found that if I roll the flakes between my forefinger and thumb as I sprinkle over the glue (you will get a more even application).

5. Apply your darker colors first, this will had depth to your "image" by layering in shades.

Another great thing I've read but haven't tried yet is adding glitter to the flower soft. The glitter is a heavier "material" and will settle in between the flower soft flakes and will give that added sparkle that you are looking for.
